Life can be a Love Affair.
Welcome to Full Lotus Motherworld…
We teach movement, earth magic, and maternal kinship.
Part of coming home to our erotic life is an alchemizing, and integrating pain into wisdom.
We live in a world born of patriarchal systems which affect every living being on this planet, and place our lives at risk via the loss of embodied care ethics and kinship worldviews. Reclaiming our bodies, our togetherness, and our innate wisdom capacity is what we do at Full Lotus Motherworld. Especially, when it comes to women.
I help women choose themselves, because women who dare to center themselves and gather together - reverse history and break the strong hold of the colonial project (de-centralising female power).
Personally, I assist my clients in walking through the fires of somatic sensation and into their innate wisdom. To do so, I work with modalities and allies such as the land, breath, sacred movement, community, ritual, plants, prayer, contextual framing, and memory reconsolidation (neural melting).
You may relate to holding emotional memories in the body that show up as fear of connection, rigidity, self-abandonment, and confusion about who you are and why you came here.
You may find yourself at a plateau and understand the power of letting others see with you and for you.
Or, you are committed to making community, magic, and spiritual mischief as a path out of scarcity and into a joyful, and resilient revolution.
Let us gather to co-create the future we know is possible.
What Does Breathwork have to do with it?
The Breath holds hidden histories… of our personal life, and ancestral lineage within it.
It records emotional memory, implicit memory, and instances of repression as breath patterns, which surface under stress - taking the body and brain back into the past physiologically. That signals the nervous system to address both the stress of the moment and the stress of the past, all at once - compounding in feelings of embodied threat disproportionate to the moment at hand.
This increases the likelihood of behaviours of self-protectionism which hinder connection and which manifest in the body as illness or emotional, mental distress when unresolved. Feeling unsafe can lead to immobilisation (hypo-arousal) or distractibility (hyper-arousal) depending on ones constitution, compounding in more complex responses.
Capitalist structures prey upon these states of being (originated through the inherent violence of the colonial project passed down through generations) via consumerism and media. The compounding effect in breath and nervous system amounts to: isolation and disempowerment.
In a return to power-with partnership models (Eisler, 2013) , the facilitated breath session creates support in re-patterining versus a “prescription of take-home breath exercises”, which is often done in isolation. The most powerful way bodies adjust nervous systems is though co-regulation, and being witnessed in transformation.
Re-patterning our breathing with the help of a facilitator is nuanced from “breathing exercises” which often regulate the body and are a wonderful cornerstone of awareness, but they never activate-to-transform trauma and overwhelm. In a brave move to “feel it to heal it”, I walk with clients through the sensations and stories that live beneath the surface of the skin.
This are sacred stories, which exist ultimately to liberate us, and our ancestral lines from harm and distortion.
They have the power to liberate our energy to act on behalf of the continuation of life on this planet.
Breath holds the key to unlocking our habituated life, and opens a door to living both freely, and in deeper relation to all human and non-human kin. It allows us to access the wisdom of Body, Earth, and Nature directly - with no intermediary.
In order to BREATH into what we truly are, there are some layers to unbind along the way.
Once harnessed and re-patterned - our breath becomes a life-long gift, a state-changer, and a liberator. Breath becomes a free form of preventative healthcare, which is the most intimate form of body-mind medicine know to humanity.
Jenna has taught breathwork, yoga, and female embodiment for nearly 20 years. She is dedicated to reviving a yoga culture based on a sensual, caring relationship with the naturally animate world.
After 10 years of apprenticeship with traditional teachers, 10 years of leading in-person yoga teacher training, and a full career in research and academia she brings modalities for lasting transformation while merging the best of human relations and spirituality.
She has experimented with what restores self-determination, sovereignty, dignity, and giftedness to people, and groups. This is no longer guesswork and she is proud to be offering an opportunity in all four seasons (in honor of all directions) to heal, rejoice, and teach leadership through engaging World as Lover, World as Self* (Macy, 2003).
She does this through very precise and refined means using deep-dive Private Immersions, Spring & Fall Retreats, and her Annual 6-Monmth embodied self-mastery course for women…
S:HE*: JOURNEY INTO THE GARDEN OF SELF (Vaughan, 2015).
About the Founder
Jenna McDonald
As a Mother-scholar currently working on her PhD in Transformative Studies Jenna studies matricentric philosophies, psychedelic integration, and interpersonal neurobiology.
In her vision, the capacity for women to hold ecstatic states for the benefit of evolving human consciousness is under-researched and along with maternal kinship provides a map toward impact-driven, interconnected futures.
She studies how relationships, place, and altered states heal the brain, body, and spirit with a special interest in somatics and attunement to intergenerational, ancestral healing.
Her background is rooted in decades of teaching and practicing connected breathwork and hosting 200-hour Yoga Teacher Training courses - empowering women and men to release the impact of androcentric, late-stage capitalism from the body-mind.
Her focus is on anchoring individuals in their innate gifts while preparing the nervous system to sustain more joy, presence, and power. She is also committed to restoring dignity and reverence to the women of the world and healing the connection between shame, repression, and rage in the masculine.
